Vietnam and South Africa have agreed to hold an inter-Governmental forum early next year to review progress made in implementing signed agreements and discuss measures to boost the progress of these agreements.

During his talks with Vietnamese Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Cao Duc Phat in Hanoi on June 14, Bernhard invited Vietnamese businesses to visit Namibia to seek opportunities in the field. He also affirmed that Namibia will give top priority to agricultural cooperation with Vietnam .

South African companies will raise their investments in Vietnam, Ambassador Ratubatsi Super Moloi said at a meeting in Ho Chi Minh City on April 26. Moloi was quoted by the Lao dong newspaper as saying that a Vietnamese business delegation will arrive in South Africa to seek investment opportunities in the African country in May.

In May, Viet Nam will start training courses for Egyptian experts in charge of aquaculture and seafood processing, according to a cooperative deal signed by the Vietnamese Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and the Egyptian General Authority for Fish Resources Development on May 10 in Ho Chi Minh City.

A conference on promoting cotton trade between Vietnamese businesses and West African partners has been held recently in Ha Noi, according to the Ministry of Industry and Trade. State officials and entrepreneurs from Viet Nam, Côte d'Ivoire, Cameroon, Benin, Togo, Senegal and Burkina Faso discussed methods of harvesting, semi-processing and storing cotton to reduce impurities and maintain quality of cotton, as well as payment methods to facilitate their trade.

Morocco expects to seal an agreement on investment encouragement and protection with Việt Nam, said Secretary of State to the Moroccan Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation Latifa Akherbach. The Secretary made the statement at her recent meeting with newly appointed Vietnamese Ambassador to Morocco Cao Xuân Thấn.
