About metals Africa :

Metals Africa is a Pretoria-based, South African company specializing in the international supply of ferrous and non-ferrous metals and alloys.

Ferrous metals:

Pig iron is currently supplied to foundries in Europe and the United States. Metals Africa seeks to expand this market.

Non-ferrous metals:

Aluminium metals and alloys are available in the form of granules, pellets and ingots.

Our products also include copper-based alloys, such as continuous cast bronze hollow and solid bar. Making use of a vertical continuous caster, a homogenous metal composition can be achieved along the cross section of the bar. Furthermore, the concentricity is well within the allowed tolerance, and often one hundred percent.

Chemical analyses are carried out at regular intervals during the melting and casting process, as well as on the cast bar. During quality control, mechanical properties, size and tolerance are checked. Test pieces are machined to check for the absence of porosity.

Once the bar is cast and air-cooled, it is put through a set of heavy rollers which ensures the straightness of the bar, and also smoothes the surface.

Ferrous and non-ferrous scrap metals:

• Copper
o Shiny Bright (Berry Copper) +/- 3 containers per month
o Mixed Copper +/- 3 containers per month

• Aluminium
o +/- 3 containers per month

• Stainless Steel
o +/- 3 containers per month
