Activities conducted by financial leasing company:
1. Financial leasing companies are allowed to mobilize capital from the following resources:
a) Accepting deposit of one year and above from organizations, individuals
b) Making long – term, mid – term and short – term borrowing from foreign and domestic credit institutions
c) Issuing valuable papers with above one year term upon permission from the SBV
d) Receiving other sources of capital according to the SBV’s regulations.
2. Financial leasing companies are allowed to conduct the following operations:
a) Financial leasing,
b) Purchase and hire in the form of financial leasing,
c) Advise customers on issues related to financial leasing
d) Conduct trust service, asset management and guarantee related to financial leasing,
đ) Other activities approved by the SBV
3. Foreign exchange activities
a) Foreign exchange activities of joint – venture financial leasing companies and 100% foreign invested financial leasing companies are stipulated in their license.
b) Other financial leasing companies which wish to engage in foreign exchange activities must submit application letter and dossiers to obtain permission from the SBV in accordance with the prevailing regulations.
